Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly expecting to sign a new centre-forward before this summer's transfer window closes at the start of October.

Spurs are allegedly on the verge of agreeing a loan deal for Gareth Bale, while Sergio Reguilon is said to be at the club's training ground undergoing a medical, with both players set to arrive from Real Madrid.

However, according to Football Insider, Jose Mourinho's side are also confident of bringing a new striker to the club to provide competition for Harry Kane in the final third.

The report claims that chairman Daniel Levy is of the opinion that a new forward is required due to the squad's lack of options in that area of the field.

Spurs have seemingly missed out on a deal for Crystal Palace's Alexander Sorloth, while Arkadiusz Milik is thought to be on the verge of joining Roma from Napoli.

Bournemouth's Joshua King has also been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, while Torino's Andrea Belotti is believed to be a potential option.
