Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly no longer in discussions with Real Betis over a potential move for Argentina midfielder Giovani Lo Celso in this summer's transfer window.
The 23-year-old only recently completed a permanent move to Betis, having been on loan with the Spanish outfit from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2018-19 campaign.
Lo Celso struck 16 times during an impressive season in Spain and Tottenham have been strongly linked with a summer swoop over the last few weeks.
According to Sky Sports News, though, Spurs have put negotiations on hold as they have been unable to agree a price with Betis, who are said to value the South American at £70m.
However, the report claims that Mauricio Pochettino's side could return with an offer later in the transfer window if Christian Eriksen - out of contract next summer - were to leave ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Spurs completed a club-record deal for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele earlier this week, with the France international penning a six-year contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
