Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner before the January transfer window closes for business.
Jose Mourinho's side are expected to bring a new striker to the club before the end of the month having lost leading scorer Harry Kane until at least April with a hamstring injury.
Real Sociedad's Willian Jose has been strongly linked with a switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but according to Bild, the Premier League club are lining up alternatives as they are struggling to come to an agreement over the Brazilian.
The publication claims that Werner has been identified as a potential signing, although it remains to be seen whether Leipzig would be prepared to sell at this stage of the campaign.
The 23-year-old has been in fine form for his German club during the 2019-20 campaign, scoring 25 times in 27 appearances in all competitions, in addition to providing 10 assists.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have also all previously been linked with the Germany international, who has a contract with Leipzig until the summer of 2023.
