Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a move for £15m-rated Stuttgart striker Sasa Kalajdzic.
With Carlos Vinicius set to return to Benfica when his loan deal expires at the end of the season, Jose Mourinho is understood to be in the market for a backup striker to provide competition for Harry Kane.
Kalajdzic has burst onto the scene with Stuttgart this term - chalking up 14 goals and four assists from 27 Bundesliga appearances - and Borussia Dortmund have supposedly identified him as an ideal replacement for Erling Braut Haaland should the Norwegian leave.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Tottenham are prepared to rival Dortmund for Kalajdzic's signature, and the 23-year-old would be available for a reasonably modest figure of £15m this summer.
While the future of Kane remains up in the air, the report adds that Kalajdzic would be signed as Mourinho's second choice rather than an out-an-out replacement for the England captain if he does depart.
Kalajdzic's deal with Stuttgart will expire at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, and he also scored three times in Austria's three World Cup Qualifying matches last month - including a brace in a 2-2 draw with Scotland.
