Danish central defender Joachim Andersen has hinted that he has no plans to leave Crystal Palace amid the speculation surrounding his future.
The 27-year-old initially made the move to the Premier League with Fulham in 2020, spending the 2020-21 campaign on loan at the club from Lyon, before Palace signed him in July 2021.
Andersen has impressed during his time with the Eagles, featuring on 72 occasions in all competitions, including 33 appearances during the 2022-23 campaign.
The Denmark international's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with Tottenham Hotspur thought to be interested in signing him.
Meanwhile, Newcastle United have been credited with an interest in a player who has another three years left to run on his contract at Selhurst Park.
However, Andersen has hinted that he has no plans to seek pastures new this summer, with the defender only focusing on helping Palace improve on their 2022-23 season.
The Eagles finished 11th in England's top flight last term, while their highest-ever spot in the Premier League was 10th, which they claimed in 2014-15.
"Hopefully we can do better than last year. We want to finish in the top ten this year, so it will be a good ambition to try to do that," the Evening Standard quotes Andersen as saying.
"The last part of last season was good, so hopefully we can continue that kind of spirit and those kinds of results, and in the end we will do something good."
Roy Hodgson's side have only made one signing during this summer's transfer window, with Jefferson Lerma arriving at Selhurst Park on a free transfer from Bournemouth.
Wilfried Zaha has been their major departure, with the 30-year-old leaving on a free transfer when his contract expired at the end of June.
There had been suggestions that the attacker could return to Selhurst Park, but the Ivory Coast international has now completed a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Palace have two more friendlies this summer against Sevilla and Lyon before beginning their 2023-24 Premier League campaign away to Sheffield United on August 12. body check tags ::
