Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly reignited their pursuit of West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

The 29-year-old has remained at The Hawthorns despite persistent links away over the past couple of transfer windows and has kept 14 clean sheets in 33 Championship appearances this term.

However, the mid-table Baggies are now rank outsiders for a playoff place, leaving Johnstone with a big decision to make as he aims to force his way into the England squad for the 2022 World Cup.

Tottenham were one of several sides linked with a move for Johnstone earlier this year, and the Daily Mail claims that the North London club are now back in for the 6ft 4in shot-stopper.

While number one Hugo Lloris recently penned a new contract at the club, Atalanta BC loanee Pierluigi Gollini is set to return to Italy in June after a nightmare stint in the English capital.

West Ham United, Newcastle United, Rangers and Southampton have also been credited with an interest in Johnstone, whose deal with West Brom expires this summer. body check tags ::
