Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly ended talks with Inter Milan over a deal for Tanguy Ndombele as they intend to give the midfielder another chance next season.
The France international has struggled to make an impact at Tottenham since joining from Lyon in a club-record £55m signing 13 months ago.
There has been talk that Barcelona are interested in signing Ndombele, but Inter are the only side believed to have initiated contact with Spurs.
However, the Daily Mail claims that Tottenham have rebuffed Inter's attempts to prise the 23-year-old away and do not intend to rekindle talks this summer.
Tottenham supposedly believe that Ndombele can offer a lot more next season once he overcomes his fitness and injury issues, with boss Jose Mourinho expected to use him more regularly.
Spurs finished the 2019-20 campaign sixth in the Premier League, enough to earn them a Europa League qualification spot.
