Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a £30m deal to sign Brazilian forward Hulk from Zenit St Petersburg.
Andre Villas Boas worked with the 27-year-old during his time at Porto and is keen to reunite with the forward, who earned his nickname due to his muscular physique.
However, with Zenit demanding a fee closer to £40m, The Telegraph reports that any deal is still far from being completed.
Tottenham Hotspur have been active during the summer transfer window, with Roberto Soldado arriving for £26m, Paulinho joining from Corinthians and Nacer Chadli making the move across the channel from Dutch side FC Twente.
A number of other players have also arrived at White Hart Lane in the last couple months, with reports suggesting that Erik Lamela and Vlad Chiriches will be the latest arrivals in the capital.
Gareth Bale is set to complete a move to Real Madrid in the coming days, which could eclipse the £80m record transfer fee paid for Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.
