Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly step up their pursuit of Jack Grealish in a bid to push his proposed transfer through before they embark on their pre-season tour of the United States.
Spurs are the clear frontrunners to sign Grealish this summer, but talks with Aston Villa have stalled as Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy tries to drive the price down.
Villa are almost certain to sell the 22-year-old due to their current financial issues, and Levy was hoping that delaying the transfer would force the Championship outfit to lower their demands.
However, The Mirror reports that Tottenham will now speed the process up as manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Grealish available for his summer tour of the USA.
Villa were initially holding out for a bid of around £40m, but are understood to be willing to accept around half of that in order to raise funds.
Tottenham will leave for Los Angeles on Sunday and will face Roma, Barcelona and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup during their time in America.
