Japhet Tanganga's future at Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly in doubt, having seen his contact talks with the Premier League club stall.
The 21-year-old has made 11 first-team appearances for Spurs during the 2019-20 campaign, including six in the Premier League, although he has not featured since the restart.
According to The Athletic, Jose Mourinho's side have offered the versatile defender a £15,000-a-week contract, which is a significant increase on the £1,000 a week that he currently earns.
However, the deal would make him one of the lowest-paid players in the first-team squad, and the report claims that talks have stalled as the Englishman is looking for a higher salary.
Tanganga's existing terms will expire next June, meaning that, as it stands, he would be free to negotiate with foreign clubs at the start of 2021.
The academy product made his Premier League debut against Liverpool back in January.
