West Ham United and Aston Villa will compete for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor before the transfer window closes, according to reports.
The 31-year-old, who joined Spurs from Manchester City in 2012, has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer after head coach Mauricio Pochettino refused to give the Togo international a squad number.
Radio station talkSPORT reports that Adebayor could move across London to West Ham on deadline day, after the Hammers failed with a loan bid for the striker last week.
Meanwhile, The Telegraph reports that Villa manager Tim Sherwood is keen to be reunited with Adebayor, who scored 14 goals in 24 appearances during his time as Spurs head coach in 2013-14.
Adebayor has scored 29 goals in 63 international appearances for Togo.
