West Ham United are reportedly prepared to battle Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Sampdoria's Mikkel Damsgaard.
The Denmark international only joined the top-flight Italian side last summer, but he has made an immediate impression with four goals and two assists in 21 Serie A appearances during the 2020-21 campaign.
Damsgaard's performances have reportedly caught the eye of Tottenham, but it appears that the Lilywhites will have to fend off interest from another capital side to land the 20-year-old attacker.
According to La Republicca, West Ham and Tottenham are just two of a number of Premier League sides interested in a deal for Damsgaard, who has also garnered the attention of Leeds United and Southampton.
The winger penned a four-year deal upon his arrival at Sampdoria in the summer of 2020, and it would reportedly take a fee of €20m (£17.5m) to prise him away from Liguria.
Serie A champions Juventus are also understood to be monitoring the situation.
