Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly ready to rival Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Benfica forward Carlos Vinicius during this summer's transfer window.
The 26-year-old joined Spurs on loan last October and has made 22 appearances for Jose Mourinho's side during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing 10 goals and three assists.
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham have not ruled out signing the striker on a permanent basis despite the fact that he has struggled for regular action, particularly in the Premier League.
The report claims that Spurs have already signalled that they are not prepared to pay €42m (£36m) to acquire the Brazilian on a long-term basis but are still interested in a deal.
Wolves are allegedly also keeping a close eye on developments, though, with Nuno Espirito Santo's side keen to sign a new centre-forward in the upcoming market.
Vinicius, who has only scored once in nine Premier League appearances this term, has a contract with Benfica until June 2024. body check tags ::
