St Johnstone will lodge an appeal against the red card issued to Dave Mackay during Wednesday's Scottish Premiership clash against Celtic.
The defender was given his marching orders after Derk Boerrigter went to ground during Celtic's 3-0 victory McDiarmid Park.
Manager Tommy Wright expressed his disappointment in the referee's decision after the game, and now Sky Sports News has confirmed that the club will launch an appeal against Mackay's dismissal.
The result was Ronny Deila's first league win as Celtic manager.
