Tommy Wright has praised St Johnstone for responding positively to their Celtic thrashing and urged them to make it three wins in a row against Livingston on Wednesday night.
Saints suffered a 6-0 Ladbrokes Premiership beating by the champions at McDiarmid Park on October 7 but quickly picked themselves up to win 1-0 at Motherwell before a 2-0 home victory over St Mirren.
Wright is looking to continue that form against this season’s surprise package Livi, who sit fourth in the table, four points ahead of the Saints having played a game less.
The Northern Irishman told the club’s official website: “I’ve been really impressed by the character my players have shown since the defeat to Celtic.
“Not many sides would bounce back with consecutive clean sheets and six points so that says a lot about our squad’s mentality.
“It’s up to them now to kick on and make it three wins in a row. It’s going to be a different game against Livingston and we know where their strengths lie.
“They set up very difficult to beat and they’ve scored their last six goals from set plays. That’s something we know we’re going to have to guard against tomorrow night.”
