St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has praised January signings Michael O'Halloran and James Dunne after both scored their first goals for the club in Saturday's 4-0 win at Forfar Athletic in the Scottish Cup.
O'Halloran, making his first start since arriving from Bolton Wanderers, netted the Perth side's third of the game, before on-loan Stevenage midfielder Dunne came off the bench to complete the scoring on his debut.
Wright said: "Michael has been knocking on the door for a start and I thought he was excellent, he played really well and I'm pleased with him.
"James has come in and he's had to wait a couple of weeks to get on the pitch and I thought he was excellent when he came on and looked a really good player. And he took the goal really well, it was a great finish."
Following Celtic's shock exit, St Johnstone are now the fifth favourites to win the Scottish Cup, behind Aberdeen, Dundee Utd, Rangers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
