St Johnstone scored twice in the final 10 minutes against Celtic to secure an emphatic 3-3 draw in tonight's Scottish Premiership match at McDiarmid Park.

Teemu Pukki came close on several occasions for the Scottish champions in the opening stages of the game, but the deadlock was unexpectedly broken by the home side when Tim Clancy struck after just nine minutes.

The Irishman stabbed the ball home after latching on to a header to draw first blood, much to the delight of the home fans.

Neil Lennon's side could have conceded yet again towards the end of the first half when Michael O'Halloran was clipped in the box, but goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska saved Stevie May's penalty low to his left.

The second half saw the visitors up the tempo in a bid to avoid defeat, and duly got their reward when Kris Commons was awarded a penalty in the 53rd minute, which he converted clinically.

Midway through the second half, Celtic looked to have been home and dry after scoring twice in four minutes, with Pukki blasting home in the 73rd minute after being picked out by Charlie Mulgrew, before Virgil van Dijk rifled his effort in the far corner shortly after.

However, the Perth side pulled a goal back in the 84th minute when Scott Brown's shot took a deflection to beat Zaluska, and just two minutes later pulled level through O'Halloran's headed goal.
