St Mirren accept player-coach Jim Goodwin's three-match ban for violent conduct.

St Mirren have decided against appealing the Scottish Football Association's three-match ban issued to player-coach Jim Goodwin for violent conduct.

Goodwin was handed the fixed penalty after elbowing Aidan Connolly during his side's 3-1 defeat to Dundee United last weekend.

A statement on St Mirren's official website: "The club are disappointed in Jim's conduct given that this is not the first time he has been guilty of an offence of this nature. The club have taken internal disciplinary action, which the player has accepted."

The 32-year-old, who joined the Buddies in 2011 and began his coaching duties in May this year, was punished with a two-match suspension last season for elbowing United's Stuart Armstrong.
