St Mirren manager Oran Kearney has continued to add to his squad by bringing Adam Hammill back to Scotland.
The 30-year-old winger – who spent time on loan at Dunfermline from Liverpool in 2007 – has signed a contract until January with the option of extending the deal until the end of the current campaign.
Hammill was a free agent after leaving Barnsley at the end of last season and is Kearney’s fourth signing following the arrival of Anton Ferdinand, Dean Lyness and Simeon Jackson.
Hammill, who has also played for Southampton, Blackpool, Wolves, Middlesbrough, Huddersfield and Rotherham, told St Mirren’s official website: “I’m delighted to get going again.
“I spoke to the gaffer here and he sold me on the move. He told me about the ambition of the football club and what he wanted to do and it’s something I was keen to be a part of.
“I’ve signed a short-term deal until January and I’m just excited to show what I can do.”
