St Mirren boss Danny Lennon believes that Newcastle United's on-loan midfielder Conor Newton will be a huge asset to the Scottish club in the second part of the season.
The 21-year-old, who is expected to complete a loan move to St Mirren when the transfer window opens on January 1, has been branded as "technically sound" and "a good passer" by Lennon.
"I remember when I signed Jeroen Tesselaar, we took him away to Portugal with us. I knew without seeing him in a game that he would come in and do well for us," Lennon told Sky Sports News.
"[It is the] same with Conor. He is technically sound, a good passer and has a hunger and desire. He has everything that we look for in a player. I am very confident he will come in and make a massive contribution."
Newton is currently training with the Scottish club.
