Romanian club Steaua Bucuresti have been stripped of their name, colours and emblem after a court ruling.
The case went to the country's highest court and it was decided after a battle with the defence ministry that the club had been illegally using the Steaua trademark.
The Romanian champions were referred to as simply 'hosts' on the scoreboard during Sunday's match against CSMS Iasi and played in yellow instead of their traditional red and blue.
The situation could change if Steaua and the ministry reach an agreement ahead of the club's match against Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League on Thursday, which has been allowed to proceed as normal.
The 1986 European champions were founded as an army club in 1947.
