Stoke City chairman Peter Coates has revealed that the Potters are "quietly confident" of signing Barcelona starlet Bojan Krkic this summer.
The 23-year-old has not featured for the Catalans since 2011 and has endured a series of unsuccessful loan spells around the continent in recent years.
However, Coates believes that Staffordshire will be Bojan's next destination and claims that manager Mark Hughes has already held preliminary discussions with the Spaniard.
"Mark has met with the player and we're quietly confident of getting it all completed soon," he told The Telegraph.
"Attacking players have been very much the focus for Mark since the end of last season and obviously Bojan would be another very good addition."
Stoke have enjoyed a busy transfer window thus far, signing the likes of Phil Bardsley, Steve Sidwell and former Manchester United forward Mame Biram Diouf on Bosman deals.
