Sunderland boss Dick Advocaat has revealed that his side's new signings will feature in their "important" clash against Toronto FC.
The Black Cats have added Jeremain Lens and Younes Kaboul to their squad over the past week, and both players will make their debuts for the Wearsiders in the club's final match of their pre-season tour.
"It's an important game, with just around two weeks before the season starts," Advocaat told reporters.
"We will play a little bit of a different system and see how it works out without the new players, because they need some more training sessions.
"They will start probably next week, but for us it is a very important game. The players we have bought make the team and the squad stronger, with more competition and that's what we need. We are happy they are here."
Sunderland face Toronto on Wednesday.
