Jack Colback has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension at Sunderland.
The Black Cats' new boss Martin O'Neill has completed his first signing of the winter window, with the 22-year-old midfielder keeping himself at the Premier League club until 2014.
The playmaker has forced his way into Sunderland's starting lineup, with 20 appearances under his belt and one goal to his name.
Colback began his career with the North East side, completing two loan stints at Ipswich Town.
