Sotirios Kyrgiakos is due to play in his first Premier League game for almost a year tonight when Sunderland take on Blackburn Rovers.
Greek international Kyrgiakos signed for Sunderland on loan from Wolfsburg in January.
The former Liverpool defender last made a Premier League appearance 11 months ago.
Sunderland are currently ninth in the Premier League with 37 points from 28 games.
