Paolo Di Canio has been installed as the favourite with numerous bookmakers to become the manager of Swindon Town - less than 24 hours after he left the club.
The Italian brought an end to his 18-month stint at the County Ground last night following a series of disagreements with the board.
In his statement, the former West Ham United striker had revealed that his position with the Robins had become "untenable".
However, reports have suggested that he could be prepared to reverse that decision following the actions of a handful of bookies, who have made the 44-year-old a clear favourite to take charge of the League One side.
Di Canio began his first spell with Swindon in May 2011 and under his guidance they were promoted to League One last summer.
