Mohammed El Gabas has revealed his delight at signing a short-term contract with Swindon Town.
The Egyptian, who has previously spent time with Newcastle United's academy, had been available on a free transfer after leaving Lierse.
"It's a nice town, it's a family club where everyone knows each other," he told the club's official website.
"I've heard about the club's history before I came. They're trying to get to the Championship - this is a good ambition and I hope I can help them."
It is believed that his contract includes the option of a further 18 months.
