Stuart Pearce believes any future Team GB football team looks unlikely in any competition.
Team GB were beaten on penalties by South Korea in the Olympic quarter-final at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff last night, and manager Pearce thinks the exit will mark the end of a squad made up of players from the home nations entering a competition.
"The format of Team GB in the Olympics has been fantastic, but I don't think it will happen again," Pearce told BBC Sport.
"Home advantage has allowed us to have this opportunity, but when you look at international programmes and bringing nationalities together, where are we going to find the time to enter a qualification period?"
Aaron's Ramsey's penalty cancelled out Ji Dong-Won's long range opener to force a 1-1 full-time draw before Daniel Sturridge's missed spot-kick sent Team GB crashing out 5-4 on penalties.
