Team GB forward Kelly Smith believes that her fellow teammates have enough quality to clinch a spot in the semi-finals of the Olympics when they take on Canada tomorrow.
The British women, who booked their place into the knockout stages following a 1-0 win over Brazil on Tuesday, have been praised for their efforts at London 2012.
"As we know, knockout football can be cruel," Smith told FIFA.com. "We've won our three games so far, which is great, but the next game is everything.
"We need to perform on that day just as well as we did against Brazil, because if we don't then we'll be out of the tournament and all of our hard work will be for nothing.
"With the strength and depth of this squad we don't fear anyone. But to a certain extent, given their style and the experience they have of winning the last World Cup, perhaps to some extent we're pleased to avoid Japan. But Canada are in good form, particularly their strikers."
Meanwhile, Team GB's men claimed their own place in the quarter-finals courtesy of a 1-0 win over Uruguay.
