Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest transfer news in the Premier League on Tuesday, January 5.

Tuesday morning's Premier League transfer talk news roundup:

Arsenal to recall Lucas Torreira from Atletico Madrid loan?

Arsenal are reportedly considering whether to end Lucas Torreira's loan period at Atletico Madrid.

Having failed to settle at the Gunners during his two-year spell in North London, Torreira was allowed to move to Wanda Metropolitano on a temporary basis.

However, the Uruguay international has been provided with just two starts and eight substitute appearances in La Liga and the Champions League.

According to La Nazione, Arsenal are ready to recall the 24-year-old in order to negotiate a deal with Fiorentina.

Aware that the player favours a move back to Serie A, the report suggests that Atletico are happy to part ways with Torreira at some point over the coming weeks.

Barcelona outline three top January targets?

Barcelona have reportedly identified Georginio Wijnaldum, Memphis Depay and Eric Garcia as their three top targets for the January transfer window.

The cash-strapped Catalans - who sit fifth in the La Liga table - are expected to strengthen their squad this month after an underwhelming start to their 2020-21 campaign.

Wijnaldum, Depay and Garcia are all set to become free agents in the summer, but Sky Sports News claim that Barcelona are determined to land the trio this month.

However, the report adds that moves for all three players are unlikely to come to fruition until the summer, although the trio are now able to negotiate and sign pre-contractual agreements with other clubs after entering the final six months of their deals.

Pep Guardiola has admitted that Garcia is likely to leave after rejecting Manchester City's offer of a new contract, while Depay is not expected to depart this month with Lyon leading the way in Ligue 1.

Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that Wijnaldum is keen to stay on at Liverpool, but the Netherlands international is holding out for a contract offer which he feels reflects his value to the club.

Fringe players at Barcelona such as Samuel Umtiti, Junior Firpo and Riqui Puig could supposedly be moved on in order to raise the necessary funds for January transfer business.
