Hello and welcome to Sports Mole's live transfer blog. With just three weeks left of this year's January transfer window, we are still awaiting that one big name signing to shake things up.

Could today be that day? We'll keep you updated with the news and gossip as we get it.

David De Gea has once again been linked away from Old Trafford this summer, with Real Madrid desperate to lure the goalkeeper away with a reported £30m bid. Could the writing be all the walls after their most recent signing of Victor Valdes?
There has been plenty of speculation emerging overnight, which is all rounded up nicely in our morning update.
Reports coming out of Spain are suggesting that Spurs are wanting to bring in Juve's Sebastian Giovinco. Tottenham allegedly want the player in this window even though the player's contract is up in the summer and will become free. Read about it here.
That's all from me folks. I'll be passing you on to Shane Callaghan, who will take you through to midday. Over to you, Shane!
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I'll kick off my three-hour stint with the report that Manchester United are quite keen to sign Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne, having missed out on the 23-year-old back in 2012. More on this here.
Some more Manchester United news for you now, and manager Louis van Gaal expects reported Real Madrid target David De Gea to put to bed the rumours over his future by signing a new contract at Old Trafford. Read more on this here.
Moving to Italy now and highly-rated Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic affirms his commitment to the Nerazzurri by signing a contract extension until 2019.
Some potentially HUGE news now as one report claims that Liverpool will activate Gonzalo Higuain's £30m release clause at Napoli this month. Apparently, the Reds were keen to do the deal in the summer but, according to The Express, Brendan Rodgers will look to make it happen before the winter transfer window shuts. Follow this one here.
Blackpool have completed the signing of Ipswich Town winger Alex Henshall on a one-month loan deal. The 20-year-old joined the Tractor Boys from Manchester City during the summer, but he has only made five appearances for Mick McCarthy's side.
On to some League One news now and Colchester United have confirmed that defender Kaspars Gorkss has signed another short-term contract with the club. Find more on this here.
Tom Huddlestone is keen to see Hull City sign this Arsenal striker on loan this month after throwing his weight (and that's a bit of weight) behind the move today. Click here to find out who Big Tom is lobbying for.
Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has insisted that he has received no offers for this Black Cats striker, amid speculation linking him with a January switch away. Who? Click here to see.
Anyways, that's all from me this morning folks. Sian Cowper will keep you apprised of everything transfer-related for the next three hours or so. All the best.
Thanks Shane. Good afternoon! Let's start with some Joey Barton news. The Queens Park Rangers captain is out of contract at the end of the season, and has admitted that he is unsure whether he will be offered a new contract at Loftus Road.
Wycombe Wanderers are already at the top of League Two, but they've added to their squad today, bringing in young Brentford striker Courtney Senior on a month-long loan.
Frank Nouble was released by Ipswich Town recently, but he's found a new home, penning a deal with League One side Coventry City.
It's not just January moves that are making the news at the moment. According to reports, Bayern Munich are preparing an approach for Real Madrid defender Rafael Varane in the summer.
Manchester United have been linked with a move for the world's most expensive player, Gareth Bale, recently. It is now being claimed that Real Madrid will allow the Welshman to leave in the summer if the Premier League side pay £150m.
Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri has been linked with a number of clubs during this window, but it is Inter Milan who have won the race to sign the Swiss international, confirming the capture of the 23-year-old on their Twitter feed this morning.
Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Real Madrid attacker Isco, but manager Arsene Wenger has played down talk of a big-money move for the Spaniard.
Following on from that news about Shaqiri earlier, Stoke City were one of the other clubs interested in the Swiss player. Manager Mark Hughes says that the Potters are now capable of competing for big names in the transfer market.
That's all from me, but stick around as Simon Sinclair will be here to keep you up to date with all the latest transfer stories throughout the afternoon.
Good afternoon everyone, I am Simon Sinclair and I will taking you through all the transfer stories as they happen until 6pm.
We kick off proceedings with Liverpool's reported interest in Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond. The Reds are keen on a deal to land the 20-year-old this month, but it could hinge on whether Oussama Assaidi leaves Anfield in the coming weeks.
More Liverpool news now, and Brendan Rodgers is reportedly monitoring the contract situation of Manchester City midfielder James Milner. The England international's deal with the Citizens runs out in the summer and that could prompt a move this month from the Reds.
Tottenham Hotspur have found their form in recent weeks under Mauricio Pochettino, and he is looking to bolster his squad in the January transfer window with a move for Everton midfielder James McCarthy. The Republic of Ireland international has been valued at £25m by the Toffees, but it is claimed that Pochettino's men could be willing to break the bank for the 24-year-old.
Interesting remarks by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers as he says that the transfer window will be a quiet affair for his side, despite being linked with Gonzalo Higuain and James Milner. Read more of his comments following his side's 1-0 win over Sunderland here.
New Norwich City boss Alex Neil could raid his former club Hamilton Academical for midfielder Tony Andreu this month as attempts to rebuild the Canaries' squad. Ziggy Gordon, Stephen Hendrie and Ali Crawford have also been touted to make the switch to Carrow Road.
Aston Villa are lining up a move for Valencia playmaker Carles Gil with a bid in the region of £3.9m being launched by Paul Lambert. The Villans have struggled in front of goal this season, and it appears the Scot is trying to bolster his team's attacking options by attempting to sign the 22-year-old.
Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has dismissed claims that his side are close to signing Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane this month. The Frenchman has also been linked with a move to Manchester United. Find out what Pep said in our article here.
Swansea City boss Garry Monk has confirmed that his side are still in discussions with Manchester City over the possible sale of Wilfried Bony. The Ivorian is reportedly close to completing a £30m deal to the Citizens, but the Swans manager is adamant that nothing has been signed yet.
Some Manchester United news before I leave you. Out-of-favour winger Adnan Januzaj is reportedly the target of Juventus, as he seeks to find regular first-team football. Read all about it here.
Right that's it from me. I'll hand you over to Kristian Johnson, who'll guide you through till 7pm.
Thanks Si! There are still plenty of transfer rumours from today's post-match press conferences, so stick around on Sports Mole!
Steve Bruce has been talking in the wake of Hull City's 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion this afternoon. Both Nikica Jelavic and Abel Hernandez were injured in the game at the Hawthorns and Bruce has said that "it is essential" that the Tigers add players in the January transfer window.
For comprehensive coverage of all the day's transfer stories, check out Sports Mole's Transfer Talk Update, including stories on Gareth Bale, David de Gea and Isco, among others.
That's all from me this evening, but Callum's here to take you right the way through until 11pm tonight!
Thank you. The action is almost over in the Premier League for another day, but there is sure to be plenty of news coming through as agents and scouts continue to do their transfer business tonight.
There has been speculation that Spurs are in the market for another attacker this month, and reports in France have claimed that they are in advanced talks to sign Marseille forward Andre Ayew.
Neil Redfearn has admitted that he is hoping to see Leeds United bring in at least two new signings this month as they look to avoid relegation from the Championship.
Fabian Delph, whose Aston Villa contract expires at the end of the season, has been repeatedly linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks, but Paul Lambert has claimed that the club are unlikely to sell the England international this month.
Rumours continue to suggest that Liverpool and Spurs could make a move for Saido Berahino this month, and the West Bromwich Albion striker has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving the Hawthorns.
Alexandre Lacazette has been on fire in Ligue 1 this season, and is the big reason behind Lyon's surprise title bid, but could he be on the way out of the club? A report has claimed that Manchester City are considering making a £25m bid for the French striker.
Manchester United attacking midfielder Adnan Januzaj was linked with a move to Juventus earlier today, but it appears that the 19-year-old could be set to stay in the Premier League if Aston Villa are successful with a loan bid.
That's all from me tonight, but Chris O'Keefe is here to take you through all of the transfer news until 2am.
Thanks Callum! Yes, I'll be burning the midnight oil in search of transfer news from around the world of football. The window is certainly taking shape, but who will be making headlines in the transfer window tonight? Stick with us and find out!
Firstly, Arsenal are reportedly looking to bolster their defence with the signing of West Ham's Winston Reid. The Daily Star claims that the Gunners are going to make a "cheeky" £3m bid for the New Zealander, who is out of contract in the summer.

Steven Gerrard's departure from Liverpool has dominated the headlines since the window opened, but the Reds have reportedly identified his successor. We'll have more in a moment.
The reported successor to Gerrard is rumoured to be Aston Villa's Fabian Delph. It is thought that Liverpool were willing to wait for the England star, but will now move before the end of the mid-season window to wrap up a deal.
Leicester City have been very busy during this transfer window, having already wrapped up a club-record deal for Andrej Kramaric, but they appear to be keen on adding to their ranks by signing Vedran Corluka.
The Daily Mail reports that the Croatian international, who spent five seasons in the Premier League with Manchester City and Tottenham, will be available for as little as £4m this month.
If you missed it earlier. The latest Transfer Talk Update is available on Sports Mole, with Gareth Bale, David De Gea and Isco among the headline-makers.
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has struggled to make an impact since moving to Anfield last summer and reports suggest he could be sold to make way for new attacking recruits. More in a few moments.

So, more on that Mario Balotelli story. According to the Daily Mail, the Reds will need to sell the Italian international to make way for new signings. The new recruits mentioned are Sampdoria keeper Sergio Romero and Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain.
Speaking of Liverpool, another forward may be looking for a move to Anfield before this month comes to an end. Can you guess who?
The player in question is none other than Saido Berahino. Reports suggest that the youngster is stalling on a new deal at West Brom in the hope of forcing a move to Liverpool.

The Reds have been linked with a £20m bid for the England Under 21 star. However, Brendan Rodgers has hinted that the club would not spend during the transfer window.

If you missed the news earlier, the MLS has ended any confusion over Frank Lampard's contractual situation by revealing that he will move to New York City FC in July.
Yet another striker is on the move! This time, Hoffenheim frontman Anthony Modeste is emerging as a reported target for both Swansea and West Ham. The Bundesliga club are said to be willing to sell, but only if they receive bids around £5m.
If you think you've come across Modeste before, you may be right. The French striker has a brief and unsuccessful loan stint at Blackburn Rovers under Steve Kean. He was sent off in Rovers' 3-0 defeat at West Brom and took some of the blame for the club's relegation from the Premier League in 2012.
So, today's Transfer Talk live blog is at an end. Fear not! Sports Mole will continue to provide up-to-the-minute transfer news and speculation and the live blog will be back from 7am. From me, it's good night.
