Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has made preparations to launch a move for Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
The Potters were recently dealt a blow with the news that Bojan Krkic will be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
According to The Mirror, Hughes believes that Adebayor can fill the void left in the Stoke attack by Bojan's absence.
However, Spurs are likely to demand that any club pays the Togolese forward's wages, which are believed to be close to £100k a week.
Reports had suggested that Queens Park Rangers were close to signing Adebayor on loan, while Paris Saint-Germain and Roma have both been linked with the 30-year-old.
