Southampton have reportedly identified Sampdoria striker Eder to replace Pablo Osvaldo.
Recent speculation has suggested that the Saints are ready to move on Italian frontman Osvaldo following his altercation with his teammate Jose Fonte, which resulted in him being suspended by the club for two weeks.
A handful of Serie A clubs are interested in Osvaldo's services, with Southampton willing to accept a bid of £10m for him, according to The Mirror.
The report added that Mauricio Pochettino has identified Brazilian Eder as the ideal forward to step in for Osvaldo.
The 27-year-old has scored nine goals for Samp this season.
