Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan has been unveiled as a Cerezo Osaka player.
The 34-year-old has made the switch following the expiration of his contract with Brazilian side Internacional.
However, despite some pundits having raised concerns that the transfer to the Far East may have hampered his chances of being called up to the Uruguay squad for this summer's World Cup in Brazil, Forlan has insisted that he has no immediate worries.
"I'm not concerned coming to Japan will have any effect on my World Cup chances. This is a strong league," he told a press conference.
