Alvaro Negredo has rubbished reports that he could leave Valencia just four weeks after signing a permanent deal at the Mestalla.
The 29-year-old signed for the Spanish side for around £20m after spending last season on loan at Manchester City.
However, it has been claimed that Los Che have already put the striker, who scored five goals in 29 league appearances last season, up for sale.
"From the first day after last season ended, my mind has been focused on Valencia," Negredo told reporters. "I feel just like another player. I want to work and continue developing. My plan is to stay.
"I'm here to show my face in public and put an end to everything that's being said, most of which isn't true - that I've been missing, whether I'm being professional.
"I've been training with a fever for two days and it's no laughing matter. I'm here to show my face publicly and to say that I'm happy and at ease at Valencia."
The Spain international scored 23 times in 48 games during his first season for City back in 2013.
