Former Tottenham player Lee Young-Pyo is close to agreeing a deal with MLS outfit Vancouver Whitecaps, according to his agent.
The South Korea international, who flirted with retirement after leaving Al-Hilal in the summer, has insisted that he has no interest in a move back to Korea's K-League where he started his career.
Instead, he appears to be on the verge of a move to North America after his representatives announced that a deal is close.
"We still disagree on one or two details so we need a bit more time, but the Whitecaps seem very interested in signing Lee," his agency told The Chosun Ilbo.
Since leaving Tottenham, which he joined from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, Lee has also had a brief stint with German outfit Borussia Dortmund.
