Nigerian forward Ikechukwu Uche is reportedly in contract talks with Villarreal over a new long-term deal at El Madrigal.
The 30-year-old has scored 28 goals in the last two seasons for the Yellow Submarine, but will become a free agent next summer.
A number of European clubs are reportedly considering making a January move for the striker, who would be free to pen terms at the start of 2015.
According to AS, contract talks are underway, but the two parties are still some way apart in terms of an agreement.
Uche has been Villarrreal's top scorer in each of the last two seasons.
