Forward David Villa has confirmed that he has decided to sign for Japanese club Vissel Kobe.
Villa announced earlier this week that he was ending his four-year period at New York City FC after netting 80 goals in 124 appearances for the MLS side.
The 36-year-old was soon linked with a switch to Vissel Kobe - who signed Villa's former Barcelona teammate Andres Iniesta earlier in the year - and the Spaniard has now announced that he has agreed a transfer to the Asian team.
On Youtube, Villa said: "The moment has come. It's decided. I have a new destination. A great challenge awaits. Asia. New trips. New country. New culture. New teammates. Hello Japan. Hello Vissel Kobe."
Germany legend Lukus Podolski also features among the squad at the Kobe Wing Stadium.
