Wales manager Chris Coleman will reportedly hand the captain's armband to Aaron Ramsey if regular skipper Ashley Williams is ruled out of their Euro 2016 quarter-final due to injury.
The defender damaged his shoulder in a collision with teammate Jonny Williams during a 1-0 win over Northern Ireland in their last-16 match on Saturday.
Williams is believed to have undergone a scan on Sunday, but if he is deemed unfit for Friday's showdown against Belgium in Lille, then Ramsey will lead out the team, according to Wales Online.
Williams suffered the injury late in the second half, but finished the 90 minutes despite not being able to move his left arm.
