Gareth Bale admits that Wales put in everything they had to secure a victory over Belgium in their Euro 2016 qualifying clash to put them in a strong position in Group B.

Gareth Bale has admitted that he left everything out on the pitch to help guide his side to a huge win over Belgium in their Euro 2016 qualifier.

The 25-year-old scored the only goal of the match in the 25th minute which proved to be the difference between the sides at at Cardiff City Stadium.

Chris Coleman's men's victory has moved them three points clear at the top of Group B with four matches remaining in their qualifying campaign, and Bale has revealed that he and his teammates are ready to do what is necessary to clinch their place at Euro 2016.

He told Sky Sports News: "It's hard to put it into words. We prepared well, played some good football and battled in every area. After 70 minutes I was gone.

"The gaffer said to leave nothing out there on the pitch and we did that. Now we can enjoy our summer.

"We know the position we're in and we'll enjoy this evening. There's a long way to go but when the next game comes along we'll be ready to do the business."

Wales are next in qualifying action against Cyprus on September 3.
