Wales boss Chris Coleman has hailed his players following Friday night's 3-1 win over Belgium in the quarter-finals of Euro 2016.

The Dragons fell 1-0 behind on the night to a long-range Radja Nainggolan strike, but Ashley Williams equalised in the 31st minute, before Hal Robson-Kanu and Sam Vokes netted to send Wales into the semi-finals.

Coleman has praised his team for being brave enough to "pass the ball" under pressure, especially with the fierce atmosphere inside the stadium.

"We knew it was going to be a tough game. They are a top team, but we are not here just to enjoy it, we are here to compete," Coleman told BBC Sport after the match.

"We feel that we have something to offer. We have a very good team of players and they keep going past what they have already achieved and that is always a good sign. To go 1-0 down as well... we competed and that is all we have ever asked of the players and that is what they keep doing.

"I think when you have players like Aaron Ramsey, Gareth Bale, Joe Allen, players of that ilk, we have to pass the ball and play football. We have to get the best out of our best players and out of the team. We were determined to pass the ball tonight and show people that we can be a very offensive team."

Wales will take on Portugal in the semi-finals of the European Championships on Wednesday night.
