Ashley Williams: 'No need to panic after draw'

Wales captain Ashley Williams says that there is no reason to worry after his side failed to secure Euro 2016 qualification by drawing 0-0 with Israel on Sunday.

Wales captain Ashley Williams has insisted that there is no need to panic despite the Dragons failing to secure Euro 2016 qualification as they were held by Israel.

A 0-0 draw in Cardiff earlier on Sunday means that Chris Coleman's side will now have to wait until October to seal progression to the finals in France next summer.

Williams highlighted the fact that Wales' future is still in their own hands, and remained adamant that there is no cause for alarm.

"We still have two games to go and it is still on us," he told BBC Sport. "We are still top of the group so there is no panic, we just keep the momentum going into the next two games.

"[Israel] made it very difficult for us but it is another point. We didn't lose the game.

"We wanted to get it done and dusted today. We haven't done that but by no means are we going to go away today disappointed. It has been a positive week, four points. We kick on."

Wales need just a single point from their last two games against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Group B bottom side Andorra in October to secure qualification.
