West Ham United have revealed that winger Enner Valencia will see a specialist on Monday after he suffered what the Hammers describe as a "significant" injury on Thursday night.
Valencia was forced off after falling awkwardly during a challenge shortly after he had given his side the lead in their Europa League fixture with Astra Giurgiu, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
The club's initial examination has determined that the 25-year-old has likely sustained a serious injury to his right knee and right ankle, with a second assessment scheduled to take place at the start of next week.
Valencia scored five times in 37 appearances during his first season at Upton Park.
