West Ham United goalkeeper Adrian has revealed that he is targeting a call-up to the Spain squad.
The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for the Hammers since taking the gloves from Jussi Jaaskelainen last season, and he believes that he is ready to prove his quality on the international stage.
"People in Spain are talking about me playing for the national team," Adrian told reporters. "But all I can do is keep playing in the same way and doing my job for West Ham.
"Anything from there is up to the manager of the national team, but I do feel completely prepared and I wait for the call."
Adrian stole the show at Upton Park on Tuesday night by scoring the decisive penalty in a dramatic win over Everton in the FA Cup.
