West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has called on his counterparts to stop moaning about defensive teams.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas criticised his club's fans following their late 1-0 win over Hull City, who made themselves difficult to break down during the clash.
Allardyce believes that teams that do plan to spend the majority of the match in their own half should not be criticised because top clubs do the same when they play in Europe.
"They all know that they play that way themselves so they can't really criticise the team that comes to them and sits behind the ball because they do the same in the bigger games, especially in the Champions League," BBC Sport quotes Allardyce as saying.
Meanwhile, Allardyce is preparing his team to take on Aston Villa on home turf tomorrow.
