West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic has hit back at the club's critics, saying that they have "no work, probably no life and no idea".
The player joined the Hammers as a club-record £25m signing in the summer but is yet to register either a goal or an assist in the Premier League this season.
Arnautovic, who is currently on international duty with Austria, also received a red card against Southampton in his second appearance at the club.
"Most of [the critics] have no work, probably no life and no idea," the 28-year-old told Laolo1. "I respect every real fan, so don't get me wrong.
"They were all happy to have me come to West Ham because I had done very well at Stoke City but they only see what happens in the stadium, they do not see what you do in training and in private.
"I am highly motivated. I know I have a strong character, I know I can get back to where I was. I have lost nothing and I'm not in crisis. West Ham can count on me 100%."
Arnautovic is preparing for a friendly with Uruguay next week before West Ham face Watford next Sunday.
