West Ham United striker Andy Carroll has lost an appeal against the red card he received during his side's clash with Swansea City on Saturday.
Carroll was sent off following an altercation with Swansea defender Chico Flores during the Hammers' 2-0 win at Upton Park in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old will now miss his team's next three games, starting with Saturday's trip to Aston Villa.
Carroll has been quick to express his outrage at the decision from the Football Association, tweeting: "DISGRACEFUL!!!"
The England international forward will also sit out fixtures against Norwich City and Southampton.
