West Ham United defender Guy Demel has revealed that he is confident he will return to full fitness as he recovers from a concussion sustained against Cardiff City.
The Ivorian has been out of action since colliding with his teammate Roger Johnson in the win over the Welsh side.
However, the 32-year-old made a successful return in a friendly against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday and is a possibility for the game against Chelsea on Wednesday.
"It's good to be on the pitch now," Demel told West Ham's official website.
"I'm happy to feel that I'm getting back to normal. I still have a couple of days of hard work to be sure that I'll be ready for the next game.
"I'm working hard with the physios and with fitness coaches and I'm sure the extra couple of days before Chelsea will be useful. I'll be alright."
Demel joined West Ham in 2011.
