Swansea City boss Michael Laudrup has said that he does not believe that Andy Carroll deserved to be sent off in the 2-0 defeat to West Ham United at Upton Park this afternoon.
Kevin Nolan fired the Hammers into a 2-0 half-time lead, but a red card for the England international saw Sam Allardyce's men play the final 30 minutes with 10 men.
Carroll appeared to elbow Chico Flores in an aerial battle between the two players, with replays later showing that there was minimal contact in the incident, and Laudrup admits that referee Howard Webb was wrong to dismiss the striker.
He told reporters: "I think there is contact but, to be fair, from the bench I didn't think there was enough for a red card. Carroll is a big boy but I don't think it was a red card."
West Ham remain in the Premier League relegation zone on goal difference.
