West Ham United defender George McCartney has praised manager Sam Allardyce ahead of his 100th match in charge of the club.
Allardyce guided the Hammers to promotion from the Championship two seasons ago before overseeing their 10th-placed finish in the Premier League table last year.
The 58-year-old will rack up a century of games tonight (Tuesday) when West Ham host Cardiff City in round three of the Capital One Cup.
"He's been great for me," McCartney told the club's official website. "When he brought me down I wasn't playing for Sunderland and he's done a fantastic job for West Ham. He got the club promoted first time round and now you look at the quality of players he's brought in.
"The manager and the team carried on with that great job last year, with all the staff, and we'll be looking to kick on again this year."
West Ham are currently in 15th place in the Premier League table after five matches.
